Do Good Elves
Good
Light the incense, dance in the sun and fight for the rights of freedom and peace. The Summer Stars are a high-fantasy faction focused on political roleplay and performing good deeds, whether it’s banding together to save the world from imminent mass destruction, or just enjoying the crackling campfire in each other’s company.
Styling – Think Elven.
Be that rangers in mossy greens, earthy browns and leather armour.
Or high elves with richer, brighter fabrics worn in light flowing styles.
Or something in the middle.
Faction Colours – Since the shattering of the Mirror Plane, a sash of shimmering gold acts as a reminder of the fallen and the nations colours.
The Elen-Silvani (Star Elves) live in a Nation called Laire Tinwé, more commonly referred to as the Summer Stars. They were one of the first peoples to call Orin Rakatha home after its creation by the original settlers. They live in the Greenheart woodland of Orin Rakatha, little is known to outsiders and outsiders are rarely granted entry into the Greenheart.
Laire Tinwé has connections to elven nations across many planes, and some from other planes may be found to reside there. While predominantly home to elves, many beastkin and some humans call the Greenheart home too.
The Elen-Silvani are a long lived race, near immortal, as long as they reside in the Greenheart. However, once they leave the protection of the Greenheart, aging starts as it would be for mortal men, and never again will they receive longevity.
Laire Tinwé is currently ruled by the House of Árien, with its queen, Tarimiril, of family Rúnya. The life of the Monarch is interlinked with the health of the Greenheart by means of the Aldamir (Tree of Life). Should the monarch fall into ill health, then the land would follow, and similarly should the Greenheart ever be invaded, then the health of the monarch would suffer. The King, Aradath, was killed over 300 years ago, when the Greenheart was invaded by a hoard.
While the Monach is responsible for the land, the Vorondo, are the Elen-Silvani council. The council performs the task of law making, enforcing justice and generally making decisions.
The Raane or Rangers are the messengers and ambassadors of Laire Tinwé. They are the most likely of the Elen-Silvani to be seen outside of Laire Tinwé, acting on behalf of their nation for the good of all Orin Rakathas people.
The Elen-Silvani do not fear death, as they believe it merely a transition between different states.
When alive, Elen-Silvani will serve the sphere as part of actions, but when dead, they believe they will become one with the sphere and work directly on its behalf.
They do not worship Gods as such. They believe in and draw power from the Sphere of Nature and the power of long dead members of the elven race. It is thought that in the beginning there was no such power, as there were no ancestors to call upon. However, as time has passed, the power upon which, the Anto and the Ante(users of Power and Magic), may call upon has increased steadily and should the need arise they may call upon the power of some of their greatest heroes.
The Aldamir (Tree of Life) is the Heart of the Lairenoré, deep within the Greenheart and from which the power of the Lairenoré comes.
It looks like an Oak tree that has been turned upside down and buried, so that the roots stick up above the ground. Surrounding this is a palisade of living silver birch, forming an enclosure. The centre of the ring of birches is open to the heavens.
The Oak houses a spirit of nature, Gaia, and it is Gaia that gives the Lairenoré its power, and the conduit to the ancestors.
Gaia is a three fold Spirit, with the faces of Light, Dark and Nature, all combining harmoniously in the natural order of things. One aspect of Gaia materialised to take the Lomé-Silvani (Night Elves) on their Quest for Forgiveness, and formed the Forest of Unshed Tears (The resting place of the ancestors).
Laire Tinwe are allies to all good people, those who work in the dark places, pervert the course of nature or impinge another’s freedoms in any way are considered enemies.
Diplomatic parties sent out from Greenheart will usually develop their own agreements with other nations and may be seen working with other individuals from nations traditionally considered enemies.
The diplomatic group currently attending the festivals has alliances with the Keepers and the Cabal of the Dragon and a good working relationship with the Wizards Concilium and the Tea Tent.
A tentative truce is maintained at festivals with enemies; the Dymwan, the Morgothians and the Horde, Elen-Silvani will always watch their backs around them.
All other nations are treated as friendly
