Avoid bright blocky colours and sunshine vibes
The Conclave of the Damned come from the lands of the Dymwan, located in the Oasis of Souls upon the plane of Orin-Rakatha. The Courts of the Dywman are made up of myriad Noble Houses, led by powerful necromancers & undead descended from the ancient Aldonar race, of which the Conclave of the Damned were but one minor House.
For years, the Dymwan Nation were unified under the tyrannical rule of the dread necromancer Cardanaris, who sought dominion over all life, wreaking havoc across Orin-Rakatha in his pursuit of an eternal undead empire.
When he was eventually slain by heroes of the realm, The Dymwan nation plunged into Chaos. With the throne empty, the Noble Houses descended into ruthless infighting, each vying to claim supremacy. The once-feared nation became consumed by internal power struggles, its borders shunned as instability reigned and the previous custodians of diplomacy to the Festival lands, House Seren, were forced to retreat to the homeland to secure their position, leaving but a single representative in their stead.
Amid this turmoil, the Conclave of the Damned rose through calculated alliances and careful manipulation; leveraging diplomacy, sabotage, and subtle coercion, they strengthened allies and undermined rivals, helping shape the fragile order that emerged from civil strife.
As the dust settled, The Conclave of the Damned found themselves elevated, reaching new heights of power. Powerful, influential, and increasingly scrutinized, The Conclave were officially honoured with a diplomatic mission to the Festival Lands, tasked with taking up the mantle that House Seren had held for so long. Yet whispers persist that their departure served another purpose: to remove a House whose influence had grown dangerously strong.
Now abroad, the Conclave of the Damned begin a new chapter, projecting power beyond the Oasis of Souls, navigating foreign courts, and advancing the will of their homeland… whatever that may truly be…
Knowledge is the truest currency of power. No lore is forbidden to us; no truth too dangerous to uncover as we pursue secrets others fear, for ignorance is the only true weakness. What we learn, we wield.
The Dymwan seek power and knowledge wherever it may be found. We are not above forging pacts with mortals, undead, or darker entities if the exchange proves worthwhile.
We are called duplicitous—yet we are not without honour. An accord made with a member of the Conclave shall be upheld. Always. But words are blades, choose yours carefully; for mercy is a tool, not a virtue, and when patience ends, we act without hesitation. Our reputation is earned and maintained.
Never forget that the Conclave stands above the individual. Advancement, ambition, and influence are encouraged, but never at the cost of weakening the House. Internal strength ensures external dominance.
The Conclave of the Damned treat allies with measured respect and deliberate generosity, rewarding loyalty with knowledge, protection, and opportunity.
We honour our accords precisely as spoken and expect the same discipline in return. With foes, we are patient, observant, and unhurried; we prefer to understand weaknesses before exploiting them.
Open hostility is rarely our first choice, but neither is it feared. Should diplomacy fail or betrayal surface, we respond with calculated force and lasting consequence. Whether in friendship or enmity, we are deliberate, composed, and never careless with the balance of power.
We engage with many factions and often form temporary pacts to achieve common goals but rarely form long term alliances, with the exception of the Morgothians whom we consider staunch allies.
